Blooms & Petals Florist – Terms & Conditions

All prices are shown in Australian dollars & include all taxes, where applicable.

A delivery fee based on your recipient’s location will be applied to your order – this fee varies from $15 – $30 depending on location. This fee covers the delivery of your flowers or hampers to your desired location. There is no more to pay.

Product Variations

Our website offers various product price options, where possible an image is provided as a guide to the size, style and types of flowers that may be used.  Where a picture is not provided for a particular product variant, the product description provides a guide to size, style and types of flowers based on our seasonal market pricing.

Product Style & Substitution

All Blooms and Petals product designs illustrated are a guide to the style of flowers, gourmet foods, and gifts that will be delivered. Flowers, gourmet foods, containers, and accessories may vary according to regional and seasonal availability, or when they do not meet our quality standards. In some cases, substitutions of equivalent value and quality may be necessary to fulfill your requirements. If you require a specific flower or gift item, we advise calling our florist directly to confirm the exact availability of that product.

Flower Quality Guarantee

We guarantee the freshness, flower quality, and value of our products. As we are dealing with a fresh, perishable product the longevity of flowers will vary based on flower variety, undeveloped floral disease or pest infestation, the stage of bloom’s life cycle, and flower care by the recipient. Most flowers should be enjoyed for 4-7 days on average; however, some specialty winter blooms and fragrant flowers may be less due to their fragility and energy required to produce perfume.  Appropriate flower care will assist flowers in being enjoyed longer, we provide care instructions on our website for appropriate flower care.  In some cases, some flowers may be delivered in bud to provide longer enjoyment. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your flowers, please contact our florist within 72 hours of delivery of your order so a remedy can be arranged.

Flower Delivery Times

Delivery will be made on the date requested and every effort will be made to meet requests as to preferred times, but only funeral deliveries can be specific with regard to time.

Special delivery conditions apply to hospitals, hotels, ships, airports, funeral parlours, crematoria, and cemeteries.

Cancellations

Cancellations or alterations to orders must be made within 24 hours of ordering. If you wish to cancel your order on the day of delivery you may be subject to a $15 refund administrative fee plus any delivery charges for attempted delivery and special order products outside of our regular product catalogue.

For Products with Alcohol

Alcohol delivery is subject to QLD State liquor laws. You must be 18 years or older to order or receive alcoholic beverages. We have a 2-litre limit per order, which must be delivered with equal value flowers and or gifts – we do not sell alcohol individually.

For Products with Fresh Food & Refrigerated Items   

Hampers with fresh food and items that need to be refrigerated are delivered within approximately 1 hour of leaving our refrigeration storage. Food held between 5°C and 60°C for less than 2 hours can be used, sold or put back in the refrigerator to use later (Food Standards Australia).  Recipients are advised to refrigerate hampers upon arrival, we are not responsible for improper storage after delivery nor will compensate any loss of goods.

Delivery Policy when the recipient is not at home to accept your gift

In situations where a recipient is not at home to accept your gift, our couriers will leave the item in a secure location if available at the delivery address. If a representative at the address is able to accept the delivery, we will deliver the goods, unless otherwise advised by the customer not to. 

Where a secure location cannot be identified, our couriers will contact the recipient’s mobile or landline to reschedule a delivery or collection of the gift, all items will be returned to the florist.
